The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 9 minutes into the match, FC Maria Schmolln's goalkeeper Malte Breitner had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Steve Sieger. 15 minutes into the match, Malte Wollbrinck dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Malte Breitner, 1-0. In the 20th minute, Steve Sieger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lankowitz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Thanks to some nice moves Steve Sieger could shoot a difficult shot in the 24th minute, which Malte Breitner however easily saved by the left post. In the 25th minute Malte Wollbrinck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Malte Breitner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Malte Breitner made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Steve Sieger sent off a good shot on target. Malte Breitner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Claus Steckamp showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. Steve Sieger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Tino Rose had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Malte Breitner. FC Maria Schmolln's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tino Rose was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. After 46 minutes, Tino Rose mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lankowitz and the FC Maria Schmolln players grew even worse after the yellow card. Tino Rose hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Malte Wollbrinck made a kick off. Malte Breitner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claus Steckamp in the 52nd minute of play. Malte Breitner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Malte Wollbrinck, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Sieger in the 55th minute of play forced FC Maria Schmolln's goalkeeper Malte Breitner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve Sieger struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Malte Breitner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lankowitz. Malte Breitner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lankowitz's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
