In the 6th minute Simon Hillerzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Gartler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Norman Knüwe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hippach fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Norman Knüwe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steffen Pöck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Steffen Pöck in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Steffen Gartler saved Fc GaLaTaSaRaY from getting behind. Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's Steffen Gartler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Norman Knüwe in the 25th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Norman Knüwe in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Steffen Gartler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Konsel came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's Alexander Gooß. But to his dismay, Alexander Gooß quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Steffen Gartler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Steffen Pöck in the 33rd minute of the match. After having played for 41 minutes, Steffen Pöck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hippach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Steffen Pöck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Steffen Gartler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Pöck, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. In the 44th minute Norman Knüwe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Gartler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Steffen Pöck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After a defensive mix-up in Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's zone, Steffen Pöck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Gartler came out of the goal and Steffen Pöck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Steffen Pöck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Steffen Gartler came out and tried to block the shot, but Steffen Pöck slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Fc GaLaTaSaRaY booed when Hippach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels Beyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute, Niels Beyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hippach's Steffen Pöck got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Norman Knüwe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandro Engelmann during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Simon Hillerzeder got free with Steffen Gartler in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Wolf Meisl fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's protests and gave Wolf Meisl a yellow card for diving instead. In the 86th minute, Wolf Meisl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes in the game, Steffen Pöck fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Steffen Gartler having to interfere. Björn Kirchberger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Konsel having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Hippach's goal looked a bit too open when Björn Kirchberger came free, but Jan Konsel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Steffen Pöck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Fc GaLaTaSaRaY fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hippach were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
