The supporters of Fc GaLaTaSaRaY booed when Reautz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Ebersbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leon Bach made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Björn Kirchberger in the 22nd minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Steffen Gartler successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, Reautz's Ingo Ebersbach got a free kick in the 71st minute. A collision led to Reautz getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Matthäus Setzer hit a great ball. If Hansjörg Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nils Mazur sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Steffen Gartler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nils Mazur in the 91st minute of the match. If Hansjörg Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Fc GaLaTaSaRaY walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
