The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Freihaus Wien's goalkeeper Elias Schneidereit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Norman Knüwe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Freihaus Wien's Raphael Göschl got a free kick in the 14th minute. Norman Knüwe who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 16thth minute tested the skills of Elias Schneidereit when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Freihaus Wien booed when Hippach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niels Beyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norman Knüwe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Schneidereit having to interfere. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norman Knüwe couldn't finish the play.
