Marc Stallberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 13th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Bach. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 15th minute, Freihaus Wien's Ralf Krammer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. In the 19th match minute, Reautz was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian von Husen to maneuver through the defense. Leon Bach made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Marc Stallberg sent off a good shot on target. With his leg Leon Bach managed to avoid a goal in the 28thth minute, when Freihaus Wien's Marc Stallberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elias Schneidereit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hansjörg Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute, Nils Mazur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nils Mazur struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Elias Schneidereit didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reautz. Elias Schneidereit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nils Mazur in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ralf Krammer was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Raphael Göschl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Freihaus Wien and the Reautz players grew even worse after the yellow card.
