The Fc GaLaTaSaRaY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Steffen Gartler should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Elias Pollan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elixhausen's supporters rose to their feet, but Elias Pollan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Steffen Gartler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's Steffen Gartler proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Fc GaLaTaSaRaY from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes into the game, Sandro Engelmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fc GaLaTaSaRaY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elixhausen the free kick. In the 86th minute, Sandro Engelmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marc Gogolok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Steffen Gartler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nico Mörsch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexander Gooß fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes Moser having to interfere. The Fc GaLaTaSaRaY fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Elixhausen were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
