Bergwerk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arne Meier was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Manuel Schmuck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergwerk's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Schmuck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Meier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Andre Flögl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After 23 minutes, Arne Meier made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Bergwerk's Andre Flögl tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Heiko Hendricks struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Fabio Kopp didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bergwerk. Heiko Hendricks sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Bergwerk's zone, Andre Kirchler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andre Flögl came out of the goal and Andre Kirchler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Manuel Schmuck was the one to do the kick off. Andre Flögl acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Stefan Fröhlich. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andre Kirchler in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andre Flögl prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Andre Flögl made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arne Meier in the 64th minute. Fabio Kopp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manuel Schmuck, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Andre Flögl stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Benjamin Thielscher's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Andre Kirchler succeeded in the game's 73rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-4. Andre Flögl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Thielscher in the 85th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Arne Meier could shoot a difficult shot in the 88th minute, which Andre Flögl however easily saved by the left post. After 93 played minutes, Bergwerk's Jürgen Trame shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabio Kopp came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Bergwerk reached it.
