They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 55 played minutes, FC Gampern's Tom Ivanschitz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Meikel Ganther came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Gampern reached it. Julien-Nils Pichlmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sönke Artmaier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Max Lapczinski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Robert Traintinger was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 76th minute. Thalbach's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The supporters of FC Gampern booed when Thalbach was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robert Traintinger didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Thalbach players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
