Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Brenndorf's Hansjörg Ozabiner started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bernhard Nimako kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Hammerstadt FC's Jan-Erik Pötscher threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andre Kirchler, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Andre Kirchler succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 7th playminute. 17 minutes into the match, Hammerstadt FC's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Heinz Reim came free, but Fabio Kopp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner led Brenndorf's Jan-Frederik Kronlachner to fire away a dangerous shot which Fabio Kopp despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Hammerstadt FC's Fabio Kopp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hansjörg Ozabiner in the 20th minute of play. Andre Kirchler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Erik Pötscher having to interfere. Arne Meier's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Erik Pötscher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hammerstadt FC's Andre Kirchler slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Jan-Erik Pötscher. That made the score 2-0 after 26 minutes of play. In the 31st minute Karl-Heinz Reim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Kopp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Arne Meier could shoot a difficult shot in the 37th minute, which Jan-Erik Pötscher however easily saved by the left post. Arne Meier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Karl-Heinz Reim scored 2-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fabio Kopp, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jan-Erik Pötscher didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Arne Meier went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andre Kirchler was the one to do the kick off. Karl-Heinz Reim could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Fabio Kopp made a huge save. A collision led to Brenndorf getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Stefan Kardell hit a great ball. Stefan Fröhlich didn't quite understand what happened when in the 54 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Jan-Erik Pötscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arne Meier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Benjamin Thielscher scored 4-1 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan-Erik Pötscher, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andre Kirchler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jan-Erik Pötscher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Gerrit Odenwälder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Brenndorf's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hammerstadt FC the free kick. Gerrit Odenwälder hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. When Andre Kirchler came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Hammerstadt FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andre Kirchler couldn't finish the play. Arne Meier took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jan-Erik Pötscher. Jan-Erik Pötscher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. 91 minutes into the match, Brenndorf's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Meier came free, but Jan-Erik Pötscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Andre Kirchler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Hammerstadt FC had played much better football throughout.
