Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Robert Traintinger started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Arno Pahlke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Gernot Damm managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juventus Turin's supporters rose to their feet, but Gernot Damm was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Meikel Ganther breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Meikel Ganther made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arno Pahlke in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Thalbach's zone, Gernot Damm stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Meikel Ganther came out of the goal and Gernot Damm tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 10th match minute, Thalbach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benedikt Schweer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Riedel in the 13th minute of play forced Thalbach's goalkeeper Meikel Ganther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julien-Nils Pichlmann's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 21stth minute, Jörn Diel skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 24th minute Arno Pahlke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Meikel Ganther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gernot Damm in the 28th minute of play forced Thalbach's goalkeeper Meikel Ganther to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arno Pahlke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Meikel Ganther tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gernot Damm sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Arno Pahlke stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Yannick Baumann in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jörn Diel saved Juventus Turin from getting behind. A collision led to Juventus Turin getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Tibor Neoral hit a great ball. 60 minutes into the match, Thalbach's Julien-Nils Pichlmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jörn Diel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 61 played minutes Juventus Turin got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Juschten. After 67 played minutes Thalbach got a freekick which was hit by Michael-Jan Ehrhoff. In the 68th match minute, Juventus Turin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eugen Berger to maneuver through the defense. Gernot Damm charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gernot Damm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Juventus Turin's Gernot Damm got a free kick in the 70th minute. After 73 minutes, Tibor Neoral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juventus Turin and the Thalbach players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 73 played minutes Juventus Turin got a freekick which was hit by Tibor Neoral. Robert Traintinger struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jörn Diel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thalbach. After a rather tough play, Thalbach's Benedikt Schweer got a free kick in the 79th minute. After having played for 91 minutes, Robert Traintinger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thalbach's supporters crossed their fingers, but Robert Traintinger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thalbach's Meikel Ganther played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arno Pahlke in the 94th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
