After 13 minutes of play, Podgora FC's Manfred Mauderer made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hugo Jelden was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th play minute Rouven Grun came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alex Schröder. 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrik Link in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alex Schröder saved Podgora FC from getting behind. 23 minutes into the game, Günter Albermann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Podgora FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. After a rather tough play, Podgora FC's Günter Albermann got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Rouven Grun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Alex Schröder was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Patrik Link capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Patrik Link really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Maximilian Hochstätter kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Hugo Jelden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manfred Mauderer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Julian Weischede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Günter Albermann was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to FC Barcelona getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Björn-Torben Jani hit a great ball. Hugo Jelden showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Günter Albermann, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Lothar Brämer kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. When Podgora FC's Günter Albermann in the 62nd minute got a chance for a shot 62nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Barcelona's goalie prevented a goal. Manfred Mauderer in the 67thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Hugo Jelden, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in FC Barcelona's zone, Manfred Mauderer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Jelden came out of the goal and Manfred Mauderer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute Günter Albermann shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Jelden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Patrik Link's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Schröder read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. Manfred Mauderer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lothar Brämer during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When Günter Albermann came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Podgora FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Günter Albermann couldn't finish the play. In the 82nd match minute, FC Barcelona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximilian Hochstätter to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, FC Barcelona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Manfred Mauderer fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Podgora FC's Robin Fortuna got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Günter Albermann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Gerhard Geiblinger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Jelden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manfred Mauderer came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hugo Jelden could save by the left post. In the 97th minute, FC Barcelona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Günter Albermann fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Many of Podgora FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Podgora FC may have spent more time on the ball, but FC Barcelona were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
