Seating: 1779, VIP seats: 0) Luis Räthke charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Räthke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Wacker Innsbruck fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 4th minute. Penalty! 9 minutes into the match, SK Rapid Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Santelmann came free, but Bastian Fink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jannick Quint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sönke Beckert in the 12th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Marius Post managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Rapid Wien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marius Post was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sönke Beckert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sönke Beckert was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 23rd minute. SK Rapid Wien's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. David Bruhnke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Bastian Fink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, SK Rapid Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Sven Santelmann came free, but Bastian Fink reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Wacker Innsbruck's zone, Marius Post stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jannick Quint came out of the goal and Marius Post tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sönke Beckert's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jannick Quint read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. If Sven Santelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sönke Beckert to strike the kick off in the second half. If David Bruhnke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 58th match minute, FC Wacker Innsbruck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urs Treiber to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SK Rapid Wien's Tobi Gilgen tried to score from far away in the 59th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Sven Santelmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bastian Fink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sven Santelmann in the 68th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Viktor Spreitzer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Wacker Innsbruck's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SK Rapid Wien the free kick. Viktor Spreitzer hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Sönke Beckert managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Rapid Wien's supporters rose to their feet, but Sönke Beckert was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jannick Quint breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. David Bruhnke struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Bastian Fink didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Wacker Innsbruck. In the 80th minute, Sönke Beckert ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jannick Quint was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 85th match minute, FC Wacker Innsbruck was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Josef Jordan to maneuver through the defense. Bernhardt Patten hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. David Bruhnke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Bastian Fink tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robin Rohde lost his temper 97 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in SK Rapid Wien fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 97th minute. Penalty! SK Rapid Wien were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of FC Wacker Innsbruck for a fine match.
