Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Oliver Pflipsen started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Galatasaray's Erich Roks got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Rapid Hollabrunn's Peter Beich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Faust in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Nico Dubinski fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Christian Lange, passed just outside the right post. In the 10th minute, Jan Springer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 21 played minutes Galatasaray got a freekick which was hit by Erich Roks. In the 23rd minute, Galatasaray's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Oliver Pflipsen fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Nico Dubinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid Hollabrunn's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Dubinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Lange breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Galatasaray's Christian Lange proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Galatasaray from getting a goal against them. In the 40th minute Nino Durry shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Beich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Rapid Hollabrunn booed when Galatasaray was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tobias Faust didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan Springer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Nino Durry made the kick off in the second half. Andre Pfaff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Christian Lange tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rapid Hollabrunn's Peter Beich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erich Roks in the 56th minute of play. In the 58th minute, Andre Mehring hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 64 minutes of play, Galatasaray's Klaas Frohlich made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peter Beich was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nico Dubinski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Björn Kramp kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. In the 73rd match minute, Rapid Hollabrunn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andre Pfaff to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute, Oliver Pflipsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nico Dubinski struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Christian Lange didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Hollabrunn. A collision led to Galatasaray getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Erich Roks hit a great ball. Jan Springer scored 1-1 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christian Lange, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 94 minutes, Nino Durry managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nino Durry was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Klaas Frohlich got free with Peter Beich in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
