An unexpectedly hard shot by Josef Junker in the 7th minute of play forced Rapid Hollabrunn's goalkeeper Peter Beich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kittenberg's Michael Laufenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Axten in the 8th minute of play. Magnus Axten received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Michael Laufenberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Michael Laufenberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Magnus Axten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Peter Beich was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Josef Junker showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 15 minute of play. Nico Dubinski struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Michael Laufenberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rapid Hollabrunn. With a little luck, Rapid Hollabrunn's Peter Beich got control of the ball when Nick Feckter tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nick Feckter could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Peter Beich made a huge save. After having played for 27 minutes, Jan Springer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid Hollabrunn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Springer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Josef Junker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute Oliver Pflipsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Michael Laufenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Magnus Axten cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Michael Laufenberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kittenberg's goalkeeper Michael Laufenberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Josef Junker kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Nico Dubinski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rapid Hollabrunn's supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Dubinski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Laufenberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Oliver Pflipsen made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Rapid Hollabrunn got a freekick which was hit by Andre Pfaff. Magnus Axten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michael Laufenberg having to interfere. Rapid Hollabrunn's Oliver Pflipsen got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Pflipsen scored 1-2 in the 66th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Michael Laufenberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Michael Laufenberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Oliver Pflipsen in the 71st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Oliver Pflipsen got free with Michael Laufenberg in the 74th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Josef Junker kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Rapid Hollabrunn booed when Kittenberg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ansgar Loewe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Laufenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magnus Axten in the 82nd minute of play. Yannik Hipp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Peter Beich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joel-Benjamin Bartl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Michael Laufenberg made a huge save. Kittenberg's Michael Laufenberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magnus Axten in the 88th minute of play. When Oliver Pflipsen came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Rapid Hollabrunn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oliver Pflipsen couldn't finish the play. 97 minutes into the match, Kittenberg's goalkeeper Michael Laufenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oliver Pflipsen. When the final whistle sounded Rapid Hollabrunn left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Kittenberg.
