If Roland Gutrath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute, Norman Mallinger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hubdorfl FC's zone, Yanick Bassen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oliver Uedickoven came out of the goal and Yanick Bassen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Martin Odenthal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Roland Gutrath had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Norman Mallinger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Hubdorfl FC's protests and gave Benjamin Pechmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 93rd minute Martin Odenthal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Uedickoven saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 96th minute, Roland Gutrath hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubdorfl FC played a much better game than Fk Austria Wien and deserved their victory. The Fk Austria Wien players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
