Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Stephan Grünewald to make the kick off. Niclas Rohde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Aufhauser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Björn Petak hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. In the 82nd minute, Justus Stadel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st minute, Justus Stadel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pierre-André Aufhauser was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Austria Salzburg walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
