The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 18 minutes into the match, Lauterbach's Willi Wurm sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Rafael Rothstock narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rafael Rothstock was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Viehdorf's Rafael Rothstock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Willi Wurm in the 32nd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Viehdorf's goal looked a bit too open when Ralf Fiedler came free, but Rafael Rothstock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Willi Wurm in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafael Rothstock saved Viehdorf from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dustin Rohde during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rafael Rothstock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willi Wurm, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Fiedler in the 44th minute of play forced Viehdorf's goalkeeper Rafael Rothstock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Lauterbach were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Andre Kraus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Viehdorf's goalkeeper Rafael Rothstock had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willi Wurm. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Lindner in the 64th minute of play forced Viehdorf's goalkeeper Rafael Rothstock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ralf Fiedler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Rothstock was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Willi Wurm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Rothstock having to interfere. Willi Wurm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Rafael Rothstock made a huge save. Willi Wurm struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Rafael Rothstock didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lauterbach. With his leg Rafael Rothstock managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when Lauterbach's Willi Wurm fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Michael-Peter Steinberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 98th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rafael Rothstock. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael-Peter Steinberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Lauterbach's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
