After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Robin Böhme managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Mapuches FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Böhme was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axel Römer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robin Böhme stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kai Weyand got free with Axel Römer in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kai Weyand sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robin Böhme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Axel Römer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 57 minutes into the match, Los Mapuches FC's Kai Weyand sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Axel Römer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 95thth minute of the game Jörg Meier who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Mapuches FC's Julius-Lasse Dober was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Los Mapuches FC defense, Mark-André Uken kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Julius-Lasse Dober. The Los Mapuches FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Julius-Lasse Dober should have stopped the shot. Los Mapuches FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
