After 8 played minutes Eplisgehr got a freekick which was hit by Lasse Fontes. Jörg Meier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Eplisgehr's Anton Gruteser got control of the ball when Jörg Meier tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 15 minutes, Peter Gießen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Eplisgehr and the Uberfuhr players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 15th match minute, Eplisgehr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Gießen to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 16th minute by Jörg Meier got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 20 minutes into the match, Uberfuhr's goal looked a bit too open when Dustin Rahnefeld came free, but Axel Römer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jörg Meier got free with Anton Gruteser in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mark-André Uken in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anton Gruteser prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 51 minutes into the match, Eplisgehr's goal looked a bit too open when Mark-André Uken came free, but Anton Gruteser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jan-Peter Schlacher made a kick off. Uberfuhr's Axel Römer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Peter Schlacher in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of Uberfuhr booed when Eplisgehr was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maik Herzog didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dustin Rahnefeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Römer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Achim Manninger in the 66th minute of play forced Eplisgehr's goalkeeper Anton Gruteser to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Roland Muller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Jörg Meier came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Uberfuhr fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörg Meier couldn't finish the play. If Mark-André Uken had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Jörg Meier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uberfuhr's supporters rose to their feet, but Jörg Meier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anton Gruteser breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Eplisgehr getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Lasse Fontes hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Eplisgehr's Peter Gießen got a free kick in the 88th minute. Nikolas Edinger's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Anton Gruteser - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 89th minute. Jan-Peter Schlacher kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Nikolas Edinger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 95th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mark-André Uken in the 98th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anton Gruteser saved Eplisgehr from getting behind. Uberfuhr walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
