After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Björn-Torben Geissler managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC KAPPA's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn-Torben Geissler was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peer Mauermann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peer Mauermann stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Michael Pircher's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. FC KAPPA's Willi Keck proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC KAPPA from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Oliver Nielsen kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Willi Keck. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Aslansaray's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Pircher came free, but Peer Mauermann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, FC KAPPA's Gerrit-Alexander Faber got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes into the match, FC KAPPA's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Nielsen came free, but Willi Keck reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Michael Pircher in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Peer Mauermann prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aslansaray's Lucas Heilleck suffered a concussion after 27 minutes and had to leave the field. After 27 minutes, Gerrit-Alexander Faber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC KAPPA and the Aslansaray players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gerrit-Alexander Faber hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Peer Mauermann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Pircher in the 34th minute of play. After 35th play minutes Michael Pircher shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Peer Mauermann and just under the crossbar into goal. If Michael Pircher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nico Matthies hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Michael Pircher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marc-André Schollenberger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When FC KAPPA's Michael Pircher in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 61 minutes into the game, Michael Pircher lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Peer Mauermann. After 65 minutes of play, FC KAPPA's Michael Pircher made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Peer Mauermann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Michael Pircher who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Peer Mauermann when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfram Schlender in the 71st minute of play forced FC KAPPA's goalkeeper Willi Keck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 72 played minutes Aslansaray got a freekick which was hit by Bernd Winand. FC KAPPA's Dennis-Maurice Wulf got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marc-André Schollenberger charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marc-André Schollenberger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Marc-André Schollenberger hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Michael Pircher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Peer Mauermann tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 79th minute by Benjamin Alfert got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Michael Pircher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peer Mauermann having to interfere. Björn-Torben Geissler might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peer Mauermann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Björn-Torben Geissler ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Björn-Torben Geissler kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Peer Mauermann. That made the score 2-4 in the 85 minute of play. Michael Pircher might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peer Mauermann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Michael Pircher ran back to his position shaking his head. If Björn-Torben Geissler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over FC KAPPA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Aslansaray throughout the match.
