Boris Plum might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Walter Geisberger. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Boris Plum ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Ruperting's Johann Korioth got a free kick in the 15th minute. Marcel Welser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the FC Garsten defense, Mirko Schöpf kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Johannes Yuschni. The FC Garsten fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Johannes Yuschni should have stopped the shot. Maurice Säuml's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Johannes Yuschni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Johannes Yuschni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mirko Schöpf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Marc Täger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurice Säuml in the 42nd minute of play forced FC Garsten's goalkeeper Johannes Yuschni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Geisberger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boris Plum, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Maurice Säuml stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Maurice Säuml received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Johannes Yuschni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Marcel Welser managed to get in a good position for a shot. After a defensive mix-up in FC Garsten's zone, Maurice Säuml stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johannes Yuschni came out of the goal and Maurice Säuml tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 97 minutes into the game, Fabian Mandel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Garsten's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ruperting the free kick. Fabian Mandel hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Ruperting's Benjamin Pürk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 98th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Garsten. The Ruperting players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
