Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rene Lienen got the match started through his kick off. Lukas Schultz struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Simon Hillerzeder didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Thajagraben. In the 4th minute, Matthias Metzler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Moritz Grabner was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Matthias Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Moritz Grabner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 8th minute, Lukas Schultz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Moritz Grabner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rene Lienen in the 9th minute of play. In the 13th minute there was a penalty for Thajagraben. Roland Messerschmidt stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Simon Hillerzeder. 1-1. Matthias Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Moritz Grabner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Rene Lienen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heinz-Dieter Hörtnagel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Moritz Grabner. Thajagraben's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Moritz Grabner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matthias Metzler, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Matthias Metzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Moritz Grabner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Moritz Grabner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rene Lienen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Simon Hillerzeder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alex Wechsler in the 32nd minute. 36 minutes into the match, Thajagraben's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Metzler came free, but Moritz Grabner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Matthias Metzler came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Horbranz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Metzler couldn't finish the play. 43 minutes into the match, Thajagraben's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Metzler came free, but Moritz Grabner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thajagraben's Moritz Grabner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matthias Metzler in the 44th minute of play. Simon Hillerzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael-Peter Basten in the 47th minute of play. The Thajagraben players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Horbranz were winning 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michael-Peter Basten stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Matthias Metzler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moritz Grabner having to interfere. Rene Lienen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simon Hillerzeder came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Thajagraben's Tim Eiffel. But to his dismay, Tim Eiffel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Matthias Metzler in the 69thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Moritz Grabner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Lukas Schultz fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Thajagraben's protests and gave Lukas Schultz a yellow card for diving instead. When Horbranz's Rene Lienen in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thajagraben's goalie prevented a goal. In the 76th minute Rene Lienen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moritz Grabner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Simon Hillerzeder made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael-Peter Basten in the 85th minute of play. If Rene Lienen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88thth minute of the game Rene Lienen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thajagraben's Moritz Grabner was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matthias Metzler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rene Lienen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Rene Lienen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
