Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. David-Pascal Wehn started the match with the kick off. Michael-Peter Basten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 4 minutes, Hans-Werner Reimann mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kneiding FSV and the Thajagraben players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kneiding FSV's Hans-Werner Reimann got a free kick in the 4th minute. Kevin Wennemer hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Kevin Wennemer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thorsten Nikolic in the 27thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Moritz Grabner, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 29th match minute, Kneiding FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralf Theunissen to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Thajagraben's Moritz Grabner got control of the ball when Thorsten Nikolic tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 32 minutes, Daniel Siekkötter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kneiding FSV and the Thajagraben players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Siekkötter hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. When Thorsten Nikolic came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Kneiding FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Thorsten Nikolic couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute David-Pascal Wehn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moritz Grabner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thajagraben's goalkeeper Moritz Grabner, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute David-Pascal Wehn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moritz Grabner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alex Wechsler was the one to do the kick off. Thorsten Nikolic struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Moritz Grabner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kneiding FSV. Kneiding FSV's David-Pascal Wehn got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Kneiding FSV's David-Pascal Wehn in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thajagraben's goalie prevented a goal. Moritz Grabner stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Thorsten Nikolic's shot from short distance in the 64th minute. Moritz Grabner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thorsten Nikolic in the 65th minute of play. Thorsten Nikolic struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Moritz Grabner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kneiding FSV. Thorsten Nikolic recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 76th minute, Thorsten Nikolic left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kneiding FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. A collision led to Thajagraben getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Lukas Schultz hit a great ball. Thorsten Nikolic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moritz Grabner having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Thajagraben's zone, Thorsten Nikolic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Moritz Grabner came out of the goal and Thorsten Nikolic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
