The audience was convinced that Robert Kreter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jochen Uschok was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. 45 minutes into the match, Toppach's goal looked a bit too open when Adam Holstein came free, but Daniel Schrappe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After some careless play in the Waitzendorf FC defense, Robert Kreter kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jochen Uschok. The Waitzendorf FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jochen Uschok should have stopped the shot. Robert Kreter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jochen Uschok having to make a save. When Jürgen Gehlhaar fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Waitzendorf FC's protests and gave Jürgen Gehlhaar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Jürgen Gehlhaar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 played minutes Waitzendorf FC got a freekick which was hit by Julius-Lasse Nimako. Jörn Schröder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Schrappe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Holstein in the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the game, Georg Vanik was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Toppach's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Waitzendorf FC the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Toppach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Georg Vanik to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes into the game, one of Toppach:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 94th minute Jürgen Gehlhaar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Schrappe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Schrappe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Grabner, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Waitzendorf FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Toppach's performance. The match ended with a win for Toppach.
