The referee ignored IFC Babenberg's protests and gave Benjamin Ibertsberger a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, IFC Babenberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benjamin Ibertsberger to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Patrick Eisenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wolfram Eymann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Klaus-Marco Henneke in the 26th minute of the match. Wolfram Eymann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Klaus-Marco Henneke in the 27th minute of play. Hans-Dieter Klose scored 1-2 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Wolfram Eymann, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 47th match minute, Lahen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland-Nicolas Fruehauf to maneuver through the defense. When Klaus-Marco Henneke came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the IFC Babenberg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Klaus-Marco Henneke couldn't finish the play. After the first half IFC Babenberg were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans-Dieter Klose to make the kick off. Roland-Nicolas Fruehauf hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 53 minutes into the match, Klaus-Marco Henneke dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wolfram Eymann, 1-3. In the 59th match minute, Lahen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Urs Insel to maneuver through the defense. If Hans-Dieter Klose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 65 in the game by Klaus-Marco Henneke from a close distance when the talented Wolfram Eymann managed to make a qualified save. Lahen FSV's players were relieved. In the 67th minute, Hans-Dieter Klose got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute, Hans-Dieter Klose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Felix Peintner took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Walter Beudel. Walter Beudel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Wolfram Eymann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hans-Dieter Klose, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute, Benjamin Ibertsberger ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Wolfram Eymann was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Klaus-Marco Henneke in the 94thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wolfram Eymann, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The Lahen FSV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. IFC Babenberg were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
