In the 14th minute, one of FC Fan United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC Fan United. Bernd Pircher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Hübner, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. After a rather tough play, FC Fan United's Manfred Heldens got a free kick in the 22nd minute. 28 minutes into the game, Nico Theinert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Steggraben's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Fan United the free kick. Nico Theinert hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Bernd Pircher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stephan Hübner, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. FC Fan United's Bernd Pircher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stephan Hübner in the 45th minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Stephan Hübner had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bernd Pircher. FC Fan United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stephan Hübner was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kai Remer to make the kick off. Bernd Pircher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nico Theinert's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. Manfred Heldens hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. In the 55th minute, Stephan Hübner got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes Steggraben got a freekick which was hit by Willi Kardell. In the 94th minute, Christian Holst hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The FC Fan United fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Steggraben were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
