Genc United's Kai Schaumer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Felix Bartel in the 21st minute of play. Matthias Wallner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kai Schaumer having to interfere. If Jan-Felix Bartel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattias Uhde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerhard Famler in the 32nd minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Jan-Felix Bartel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Spy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan-Felix Bartel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kai Schaumer was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Jan-Felix Bartel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jan-Felix Bartel really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Mattias Uhde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lukas Ibertsberger went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, FC Spy's Jonas-Andreas Finken got a free kick in the 49th minute. In the 50th minute of the match Dennis Höhle sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mattias Uhde skillfully saved the ball.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gerhard Famler was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Jonas-Andreas Finken hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, FC Spy's Mattias Uhde got control of the ball when Lukas Ibertsberger tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jörn Jörn during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. But to his dismay, Lukas Ibertsberger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 83 played minutes FC Spy got a freekick which was hit by Jonas-Andreas Finken. Kai Schaumer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jan-Felix Bartel, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Kai Schaumer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Felix Bartel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
