Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Justus Luchtenberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederik Grunewald having to interfere. With a little luck, Nitzling's Frederik Grunewald got control of the ball when André Durr tried to sneak it across the goal line. When SK Gala 1905's Justus Luchtenberg in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nitzling's goalie prevented a goal. André Durr scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frederik Grunewald, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Justus Luchtenberg in the 28thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Frederik Grunewald, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. André Durr struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Frederik Grunewald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SK Gala 1905. Nitzling's Nico Hirsch got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Bosch blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Falko Ondraczek having to make a save. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

SK Gala 1905's Justus Luchtenberg got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 54 minutes, Magnus Ziegler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nitzling and the SK Gala 1905 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Magnus Ziegler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Norman Fischer took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 55th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frederik Grunewald. Nitzling's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marko Odemer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Frederik Grunewald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Nitzling booed when SK Gala 1905 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Norman Fischer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Falko Ondraczek made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Nico Hirsch sent off a good shot on target. Norman Fischer's late challenge caught a Nitzling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Norman Fischer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Norman Fischer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Justus Luchtenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Nitzling's zone, Justus Luchtenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frederik Grunewald came out of the goal and Justus Luchtenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Justus Luchtenberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frederik Grunewald was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. After having played for 76 minutes, Justus Luchtenberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Gala 1905's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justus Luchtenberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Justus Luchtenberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Justus Luchtenberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederik Grunewald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justus Luchtenberg in the 88th minute of play. Frederik Grunewald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Durr, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute.
