Robert Wesseling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gernot Wölfer in the 8th minute. Roland Mühl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leon Zerressen having to interfere. Torsten Lembke who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 12thth minute tested the skills of Robert Wesseling when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Vorort's Torsten Lembke slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robert Wesseling. That made the score 1-0 after 15 minutes of play. A collision led to Kleinrust FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mark-André Hillerzeder hit a great ball. Torsten Lembke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th match minute, Kleinrust FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roland Mühl to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Kleinrust FC's Andre Stockbauer got a free kick in the 31st minute. A hard shot by Maik Peternell from long distance, 33 minutes into the match, got Robert Wesseling's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After a defensive mix-up in Kleinrust FC's zone, Gernot Wölfer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Wesseling came out of the goal and Gernot Wölfer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Torsten Lembke was extremely unlucky when he, in the 35th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gernot Wölfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After 51 minutes, Erik Tünnissen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kleinrust FC and the Vorort players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, Kleinrust FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erik Tünnissen to maneuver through the defense. Vorort's Maik Peternell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kleinrust FC. Robert Wesseling took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torsten Lembke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Kleinrust FC's zone, Torsten Lembke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Wesseling came out of the goal and Torsten Lembke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Gernot Wölfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gernot Wölfer in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Robert Wesseling saved Kleinrust FC from getting behind. In the 66th minute, Erik Tünnissen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Gernot Wölfer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Robert Wesseling was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. Robert Wesseling showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Lembke in the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Vorort's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Mühl came free, but Leon Zerressen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89thth minute of the game Gernot Wölfer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kleinrust FC's Robert Wesseling was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ben Born received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Leon Zerressen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ben Born struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Leon Zerressen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kleinrust FC. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vorort fans cheered their team off the field, for while Kleinrust FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
