Stefan-Benjamin Säuml could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Dominik Brunmayr made a huge save. Dominik Brunmayr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel in the 4th minute of play. Lainken FSV's Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel managed to work through FC Hofer08's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Dominik Brunmayr made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Stefan-Benjamin Säuml sent off a good shot on target. When Tobias Klopp fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lainken FSV's protests and gave Tobias Klopp a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th match minute, Lainken FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tobias Klopp to maneuver through the defense. FC Hofer08's Dominik Brunmayr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save FC Hofer08 from getting a goal against them. Arno Schraier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dirk Koppers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Hofer08's Dominik Brunmayr got control of the ball when Stefan-Benjamin Säuml tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dirk Koppers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Arno Schraier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kevin Randelhoff hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Lainken FSV's zone, Yanick Stockhaus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arno Schraier came out of the goal and Yanick Stockhaus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Yanick Stockhaus who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lainken FSV's Arno Schraier was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. FC Hofer08's Dominik Brunmayr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Randelhoff in the 34th minute of play. Matthias Dörfler kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Dominik Brunmayr made a huge save. Dirk Koppers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Lainken FSV's Hans-Peter Sonntag got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Lainken FSV's Arno Schraier played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dirk Koppers in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Dirk Koppers took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Arno Schraier to make any attempt to save it. A collision led to Lainken FSV getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Fabian Kellner hit a great ball. Thomas Pfeifenberger could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Arno Schraier made a huge save. 72 minutes into the match, FC Hofer08's goal looked a bit too open when Tobias Klopp came free, but Dominik Brunmayr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Hofer08's Timo Schmielau slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Arno Schraier. That made the score 0-2 after 79 minutes of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Timo Schmielau got free with Arno Schraier in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A throw-in in the 87th minute of the game was made by Christian Eberhardt with Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Dominik Brunmayr came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Lainken FSV's Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel. But to his dismay, Jan-Benedikt Hörtnagel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of FC Hofer08:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Lainken FSV:s goal. Tobias Klopp did an outstanding performance 100 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Dominik Brunmayr in the goal.
