Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Patrik Gerolstein took the kick off in the first half of the match. Adrian Sedlak was out of position in the 5 minute of play, and Reinhold Haug capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Reinhold Haug really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. 8 minutes into the match, RedBull Vienna's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Gutsche came free, but Adrian Sedlak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute, Olaf Gutsche fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After a defensive mix-up in RedBull Vienna's zone, Patrik Gerolstein stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sedlak came out of the goal and Patrik Gerolstein tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of RedBull Vienna booed when FC Feuerzwerge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan Zahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Olaf Gutsche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robin Wimmer in the 30th minute of play forced FC Feuerzwerge's goalkeeper Gerhard Handke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. FC Feuerzwerge's Gerhard Handke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Pfaff in the 31st minute of play. FC Feuerzwerge's Reinhold Haug got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 38 played minutes FC Feuerzwerge got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Henrich. Jakob Kohl didn't quite understand what happened when in the 39 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind RedBull Vienna's goalkeeper Adrian Sedlak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in RedBull Vienna's zone, Jan Zahl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sedlak came out of the goal and Jan Zahl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FC Feuerzwerge getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Stefan Henrich hit a great ball. In the 64th match minute, RedBull Vienna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Slütters to maneuver through the defense. After 66 minutes, Jan Zahl mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Feuerzwerge and the RedBull Vienna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jan Zahl in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrian Sedlak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jan Zahl struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Adrian Sedlak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Feuerzwerge. 83 minutes into the match, FC Feuerzwerge's Peter Reiners sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adrian Sedlak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jan Zahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Sedlak having to interfere. Jan Zahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. FC Feuerzwerge had played much better football throughout.
