Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Robin Wimmer made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, RedBull Vienna's Leonard Junglas got a free kick in the 2nd minute. After having played for 3 minutes, Benjamin Lazu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Kärnten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benjamin Lazu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adrian Sedlak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Herzog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adrian Sedlak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Lazu went, in the 8th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Adrian Sedlak made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Benjamin Lazu sent off a good shot on target. In the 18th minute, Bastian Herzog fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Steffen Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Wimmer in the 27th minute of play. Adrian Sedlak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamin Lazu in the 30th minute. If Bastian Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastian Herzog's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Sedlak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ivo Tetzloff during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Ivo Tetzloff hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 38 minutes into the game, FC Kärnten's Benjamin Lazu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Adrian Sedlak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Bastian Herzog received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Adrian Sedlak came out and tried to block the shot, but Bastian Herzog slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 43rd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bastian Herzog made the kick off in the second half. Benjamin Lazu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Robin Wimmer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. RedBull Vienna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Kärnten the free kick. In the 57th match minute, RedBull Vienna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Wimmer to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Slütters during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Kärnten booed when RedBull Vienna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Slütters didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sascha Mörz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 60th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adrian Sedlak. RedBull Vienna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Hubert Pfaff struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Steffen Rose didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RedBull Vienna. Bastian Herzog received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Adrian Sedlak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adrian Sedlak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Lazu went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. If Bastian Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bastian Herzog fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Sedlak having to interfere. Bastian Herzog struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Adrian Sedlak didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Kärnten. In the 91st minute Benjamin Lazu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Sedlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RedBull Vienna's zone, Bastian Herzog stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adrian Sedlak came out of the goal and Bastian Herzog tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Benjamin Lazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Adrian Sedlak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee ended the match the FC Kärnten players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
