Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Bastian Herzog took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Kärnten's Benjamin Patzelt got a free kick in the 5th minute. Frederic Munderloh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Lazu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Bastian Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederic Munderloh showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Lazu in the 19th minute of the match. Peter Hermanseder's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Steffen Rose firmly grabbed it by the left post. 28 minutes into the game, Benjamin Lazu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Frederic Munderloh was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 31st minute, Benjamin Lazu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Frederic Munderloh was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Steffen Rose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Hermanseder in the 37th minute of play. Frederic Munderloh made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bastian Herzog in the 39th minute of play. Frederic Munderloh took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bastian Herzog, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frederic Munderloh didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benjamin Lazu went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mirko Ahrendt was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mirko Ahrendt during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Kärnten booed when Sparbaregg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mirko Ahrendt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Sparbaregg's goal looked a bit too open when Bastian Herzog came free, but Frederic Munderloh reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC Kärnten's Steffen Rose played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peter Hermanseder in the 60th minute of play. Benjamin Lazu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Frederic Munderloh made a huge save. If Bastian Herzog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamin Lazu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frederic Munderloh having to interfere. When Benjamin Lazu got free in front of the goal in the 86th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Frederic Munderloh was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Bastian Herzog received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Frederic Munderloh came out and tried to block the shot, but Bastian Herzog slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 90th minute. The Sparbaregg supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Kärnten's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Kärnten.
