When Hubert Pfaff came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the RedBull Vienna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hubert Pfaff couldn't finish the play. An unexpected shot in the 18th minute by Dennis Krammer got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Dennis Krammer got free in front of the goal in the 22nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Adrian Sedlak was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After some careless play in the RedBull Vienna defense, Dennis Krammer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adrian Sedlak. The RedBull Vienna fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adrian Sedlak should have stopped the shot. Leonard Junglas hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Adrian Sedlak made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Dennis Krammer sent off a good shot on target. In the 37th minute Robin Wimmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermann Zommer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Pfaff in the 38th minute of play forced Schleissheim's goalkeeper Hermann Zommer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 40th minute, Robin Wimmer made a precise shot to the right of Hermann Zommer. Schleissheim's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 49 played minutes RedBull Vienna got a freekick which was hit by Jakob Kohl. 50 minutes into the match, Schleissheim's Frederik Kappestein shot a high long ball. RedBull Vienna's goalkeeper was lucky when the ball hit the right post and out. Dennis Krammer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Thomas Lainer made the kick off in the second half. Robin Wimmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Hermann Zommer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind RedBull Vienna's goalkeeper Adrian Sedlak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dennis Krammer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Adrian Divis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hubert Pfaff fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hermann Zommer having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hubert Pfaff got free with Hermann Zommer in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 90th minute Leonard Bottcher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adrian Sedlak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermann Zommer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for RedBull Vienna.
