With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jannik Herzog in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Oliver Wollbrink saved 1. FC Klosterneuburg from getting behind. Sven-Philipp Kastner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Helmar Kaspitz in the 10th minute of the match. In the 13th minute Alexander Siebelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Philipp Kastner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Oliver Stober got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 17th minute, Alexander Siebelt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 23 played minutes, 1. FC Klosterneuburg's Simon Merkel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven-Philipp Kastner came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in 1. FC Klosterneuburg reached it. Alexander Siebelt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sven-Philipp Kastner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Borussia Dortmund's Jannik Herzog in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye 1. FC Klosterneuburg's goalie prevented a goal. Simon Merkel hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the 1. FC Klosterneuburg defense, Jannik Herzog kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliver Wollbrink. The 1. FC Klosterneuburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliver Wollbrink should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Borussia Dortmund getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Fabian Sudhoff hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alexander Siebelt in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Philipp Kastner prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Philipp Kastner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Siebelt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 44th match minute, Borussia Dortmund was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Stober to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute Alexander Siebelt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Philipp Kastner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alexander Siebelt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jannik Herzog to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Jost Krammer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sven-Philipp Kastner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Sudhoff during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 52 played minutes Borussia Dortmund got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Sudhoff. Oliver Stober hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. Jannik Herzog took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oliver Wollbrink. Oliver Wollbrink dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Sven-Philipp Kastner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexander Siebelt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 66 minute of play. Jakob Tiesse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 1. FC Klosterneuburg's Alexander Siebelt got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oliver Wollbrink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marc-Joel Melkko in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Oliver Stober left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Borussia Dortmund fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. 1. FC Klosterneuburg made a substitution. Mario Göring replaced Alexander Siebelt. With a little luck, Borussia Dortmund's Sven-Philipp Kastner got control of the ball when Mario Göring tried to sneak it across the goal line. Mario Görings short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Sven-Philipp Kastner to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a defensive mix-up in Borussia Dortmund's zone, Michael Schlettert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Philipp Kastner came out of the goal and Michael Schlettert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jakob Tiesse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Philipp Kastner having to interfere. 93 minutes into the game, Willi Marke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Borussia Dortmund's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1. FC Klosterneuburg the free kick. After a rather tough play, Borussia Dortmund's Willi Marke got a free kick in the 93rd minute. Mario Göring's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 95thth minute, Sven-Philipp Kastner skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The Borussia Dortmund support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
