Arne Geissler showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tobias Hauck, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Leppen's Philip Kaldtwasser sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oliver Neubauer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tobias Hauck might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arne Geissler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tobias Hauck ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 18 minutes, Mirco Möhn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hamersedt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mirco Möhn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Kaldtwasser got free with Oliver Neubauer in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Hamersedt's Helge Bruhnke got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Ivan Pürk fired a really elegant long shot, but Oliver Neubauer threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Oliver Neubauer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niko Wilnauer in the 27th minute of play. A collision led to Hamersedt getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Rolf Grond hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niko Wilnauer in the 35th minute of play forced Hamersedt's goalkeeper Oliver Neubauer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 39 minutes into the match, Hamersedt's goalkeeper Oliver Neubauer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip Kaldtwasser. If Niko Wilnauer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Niko Wilnauer made a kick off. After 53 played minutes Leppen got a freekick which was hit by Peter Rein. Boris Blassen shot from long distance in the 54th minute, but Arne Geissler was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. In the 56thth minute of the game Niko Wilnauer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hamersedt's Oliver Neubauer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Philip Kaldtwasser managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leppen's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Kaldtwasser was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oliver Neubauer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niko Wilnauer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute Niko Wilnauer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oliver Neubauer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Kaldtwasser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Geissler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Oliver Neubauer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Philip Kaldtwasser, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leppen fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hamersedt had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
