The audience was convinced that Simon Polskis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Simon Kühle was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. A collision led to Urschulz FC getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Roland Gärtner hit a great ball. Nino Katzer blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Kühle having to make a save. Simon Kühle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Polskis, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. In the 45th minute Malte Verpoort shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Heinz Flöter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karl-Heinz Flöter acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 47th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Malte Verpoort. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Simon Polskis made a kick off. Sascha Gos's late challenge caught a SK Ternitz 2007's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sascha Gos helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Urschulz FC's Sascha Gos got a free kick in the 51st minute. 56 minutes into the game, Urschulz FC's Malte Verpoort nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Karl-Heinz Flöter made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Urschulz FC's Roland Gärtner got his second yellow card of the match in the 58th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the SK Ternitz 2007 players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense.
