Robin Thren's late challenge caught a Morstalling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robin Thren helped the player get up and apologised. Sehlengehr's Jakob Jagemann got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Thren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Gerrit-Alexander Goldhorn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 14 minutes, Roland Mörz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stefan-Benjamin Markus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Matthias Mischo made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Morstalling's zone, Jakob Jagemann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerrit-Alexander Goldhorn came out of the goal and Jakob Jagemann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Morstalling defense, Jakob Jagemann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gerrit-Alexander Goldhorn. The Morstalling fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gerrit-Alexander Goldhorn should have stopped the shot. Sehlengehr's defense didn't have a chance, in the 27th minute, when Norman Grundmann scored to the left of an out of position Matthias Mischo, making the score, 1-1. Norman Grundmann charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Norman Grundmann the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerrit-Alexander Goldhorn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jakob Jagemann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Louis Giese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sehlengehr's Robin Thren pulled a muscle in his back after 39 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Stefan-Benjamin Markus charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Marcel Seelmann hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roland Mörz to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jakob Jagemann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sehlengehr's supporters rose to their feet, but Jakob Jagemann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Mischo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcel Lojewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute.
