But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Gerat couldn't finish the play. After having played for 8 minutes, Marko Wolfram managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fc Jo i mochs's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marko Wolfram was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Julius Walhöfer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marko Wolfram in the 17th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lars Öllerich-Dawe during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Powerdingen's Lars Öllerich-Dawe got a free kick in the 18th minute. Lasse Noce stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Urs-Peter Pantel's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. Gerhard Bongartz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julius Walhöfer having to interfere. Marko Wolfram took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Julius Walhöfer. Julius Walhöfer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 37th match minute, Fc Jo i mochs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maik Schmitzberger to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute Marko Wolfram shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julius Walhöfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Matthias Gerat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Powerdingen's Julius Walhöfer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marko Wolfram in the 66th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Powerdingen's Lars Öllerich-Dawe got a free kick in the 66th minute. Gerhard Bongartz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marko Wolfram sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 95 minutes into the match, Powerdingen's goal looked a bit too open when Gerhard Bongartz came free, but Julius Walhöfer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Jo i mochs were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Powerdingen for a fine match.
