Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) FC Thüringen's Claus Schwärzler started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. FC Thüringen's Marius Gagelmann got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claus Schwärzler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Vincent Ahrem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claus Schwärzler scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vincent Ahrem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 13 minutes into the match, Gurtelberg's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Schwärzler came free, but Vincent Ahrem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Claus Schwärzler shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Ahrem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gurtelberg's Vincent Ahrem proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Gurtelberg from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Gurtelberg's Vincent Ahrem got control of the ball when Marius Gagelmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Philipp-Marc Thielen hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Claus Schwärzler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vincent Ahrem having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marius Gagelmann got free with Vincent Ahrem in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 44 played minutes FC Thüringen got a freekick which was hit by Thorsten Kienast. Ralf Mallinger made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Lankes in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tom Lankes was the one to do the kick off. Ralf Mallinger made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Tim Kamme sent off a good shot on target. Philipp-Marc Thielen kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the match, Gurtelberg's goal looked a bit too open when Claus Schwärzler came free, but Vincent Ahrem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vincent Ahrem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claus Schwärzler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th match minute, Gurtelberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Philipp-Marc Thielen to maneuver through the defense. 58 minutes into the match, Claus Schwärzler had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincent Ahrem. Gurtelberg's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Claus Schwärzler was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Tom Lankes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ralf Mallinger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 63rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tim Kamme in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Mallinger prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vincent Ahrem came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Thüringen's Claus Schwärzler. But to his dismay, Claus Schwärzler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marius Gagelmann during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 76 played minutes FC Thüringen got a freekick which was hit by Marius Gagelmann. Tom Lankes was extremely unlucky when he, in the 79th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Gurtelberg's Vincent Ahrem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claus Schwärzler in the 81st minute of play. Claus Schwärzler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Ahrem read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. Gurtelberg's Vincent Ahrem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marius Gagelmann in the 86th minute of play. If Claus Schwärzler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Marius Gagelmann ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vincent Ahrem was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. FC Thüringen's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
