Kai Held was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Olli Holst showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 7 minute of play. 13 minutes into the game, Philipp Moser was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirkhofberg FSV's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Levanti the free kick. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

FC Levanti's Jochen Burkhardt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Wolf in the 54th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Pirkhofberg FSV's zone, Anton Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kai Held came out of the goal and Anton Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, FC Levanti's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Wolf came free, but Jochen Burkhardt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
