The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tibor Grasser kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Tom Kaumanns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Nicolas Bayer in the 10th minute of play. Stefan Woltering succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 12th playminute. Tom Kaumanns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Stefan Woltering in the 17th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Neukettenhof's zone, Chris Tözen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tom Kaumanns came out of the goal and Chris Tözen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 23rd minute Jan-Nicolas Bayer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Kaumanns saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, FC Seitschik's goal looked a bit too open when Mats-Alexander Sittarz came free, but Pascal Breuer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute, Mats-Alexander Sittarz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Neukettenhof fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Mats-Alexander Sittarz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The wind increased when Jan-Nicolas Bayer made the kick off in the second half. Tom Kaumanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Tözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olli Ivanschitz during the 65th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Neukettenhof getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Olli Ivanschitz hit a great ball. Tom Kaumanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Tözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Seitschik's Pascal Breuer got control of the ball when Mats-Alexander Sittarz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Neukettenhof's Tom Kaumanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tibor Grasser in the 71st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Chris Tözen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tom Kaumanns was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. Neukettenhof's Olli Ivanschitz got his second yellow card of the match in the 76th minute. The referee ordered Olli Ivanschitz off the ground. After 77 played minutes Neukettenhof got a freekick which was hit by Olli Ivanschitz. Tom Kaumanns took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chris Tözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronny Kokott kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 86 minutes into the match, Neukettenhof's goal looked a bit too open when Jan-Nicolas Bayer came free, but Tom Kaumanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Chris Tözen notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Neukettenhof's Tom Kaumanns. Tom Kaumanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jan-Nicolas Bayer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Tom Kaumanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neukettenhof's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because FC Seitschik had won, even though Neukettenhof had held more of the ball.
