The crowd rose to their feet as Mathias Brock kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tim Vortkamp. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Bergheim FSV's Tim Vortkamp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carlo Wolf in the 8th minute of play. Jan-Oliver Nitsche charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jan-Oliver Nitsche the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sven-Hendrik Cuypers in the 10th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kai Held prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Brock could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Tim Vortkamp made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Urs Stein managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergheim FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Urs Stein was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Held breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Axel Urban charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In a very dangerous position, a player in Bergheim FSV fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Tim Vortkamp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Wolf, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Tim Vortkamp showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Florian Rubarth in the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to Bergheim FSV getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Jannik Nachtsheim hit a great ball. Kai Held took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sven-Hendrik Cuypers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Sven-Hendrik Cuypers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergheim FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Hendrik Cuypers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Held breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis-Sven Pupeter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kai Held having to make a save. With a little luck, Bergheim FSV's Tim Vortkamp got control of the ball when Mathias Brock tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Timo Meier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergheim FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Timo Meier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Held breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dennis-Sven Pupeter kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to Pirkhofberg FSV getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Luca Bremer hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

If Sven-Hendrik Cuypers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 61st minute, Daniel Marchl hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Hendrik Cuypers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Dennis-Sven Pupeter struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Kai Held didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bergheim FSV. 80 minutes in the game, Timo Meier fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kai Held having to interfere. In the 83rd minute, Dennis-Sven Pupeter left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bergheim FSV fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Kai Held showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dennis-Sven Pupeter in the 89th minute of the match. Urs Stein succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-4 in the 90th playminute. In the 97th minute, Hartmut Ahrem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bergheim FSV's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
