After 29 minutes of play, FC Hessen United's Patrick Genau made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Klaus Koehler was left in no man's land by his defense there! FC Hessen United's Patrick Genau got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sebastian Neher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Sebastian Neher managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Sturm II's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Neher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Axel Röber breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
