Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patrick Genau kicked off to start the match. Alex Dresner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, FC Hessen United's Sebastian Zientara got a free kick in the 5th minute. Dustin de Raaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Axel Röber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Axel Röber took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Kitzbichler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Alex Dresner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 14th minute, Wolfgang-Bernd Ansmann left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Hessen United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 17th minute, Sebastian Zientara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thorsten Machura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Axel Röber having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Thorsten Machura during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 20 played minutes Wattens got a freekick which was hit by Thorsten Machura. If Alex Dresner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wolfgang-Bernd Ansmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Hartmut Meier tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dustin de Raaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Dustin de Raaf got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 44 minutes, Alex Dresner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Hessen United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alex Dresner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Peter Kitzbichler made the kick off in the second half. Axel Röber made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Kitzbichler in the 51st minute of play. Wattens's defense didn't have a chance, in the 58th minute, when Patrick Genau scored to the left of an out of position Hartmut Meier, making the score, 1-2. In the 64th minute Dustin de Raaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Axel Röber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Peter Kitzbichler struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Axel Röber didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wattens. After some careless play in the Wattens defense, Wolfgang-Bernd Ansmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hartmut Meier. The Wattens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hartmut Meier should have stopped the shot. FC Hessen United's Patrick Genau got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Hönicke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hartmut Meier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Hartmut Meier made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Genau in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alex Dresner in the 81st minute of play forced Wattens's goalkeeper Hartmut Meier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Patrick Genau's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hartmut Meier was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Daniel Hönicke took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hartmut Meier. The supporters of FC Hessen United booed when Wattens was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dustin de Raaf didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wattens's Dustin de Raaf got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Hessen United played a much better game than Wattens and deserved their victory. The Wattens players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
