When Anibal Sobera came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Pulgarn fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anibal Sobera couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Pulgarn's Till-Julius Strobl sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Steffen Geldreich narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Jonas-Andreas Zupancic got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ivo Knoppertz hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Anibal Sobera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Steffen Geldreich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas-Andreas Zupancic made a kick off. In the 54th match minute, Pulgarn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthäus Polster to maneuver through the defense. Sascha Schelewski kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Anibal Sobera cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Steffen Geldreich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 63 minutes into the match, Anibal Sobera dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Steffen Geldreich, 0-3. Till-Julius Strobl blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Steffen Geldreich having to make a save. When Pulgarn's Anibal Sobera in the 70th minute got a chance for a shot 70th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Till-Julius Strobl who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 85thth minute tested the skills of Steffen Geldreich when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 88th minute Anibal Sobera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Geldreich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in RBC TRS Lentia's zone, Till-Julius Strobl stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Geldreich came out of the goal and Till-Julius Strobl tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Pulgarn had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
