Spectators: 8472 (Terracing: 6355, Seating: 1948, VIP seats: 169) 0-1 became the score in the 7th minute when Herbert Rütten elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Nickolas Lazu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Matthäus Fischer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jonas Fenstermacher during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Florian Schmithuysen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Verschüren having to interfere. Florian Schmithuysen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Roman Verschüren read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. In the 27th minute Herbert Rütten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roman Verschüren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Robin Kowalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcel Terwester took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 32nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Matthäus Fischer. Boven FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Knukwuk Ravens's Roman Verschüren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manfred Mayrhofer in the 33rd minute of play. Boven FC's Florian Schmithuysen got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Boven FC's Herbert Rütten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Verschüren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Florian Schmithuysen blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Roman Verschüren having to make a save. If Herbert Rütten had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Florian Schmithuysen was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Manfred Mayrhofer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute, Herbert Rütten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Boven FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Roman Verschüren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florian Schmithuysen in the 65th minute of play. After some careless play in the Knukwuk Ravens defense, Florian Schmithuysen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roman Verschüren. The Knukwuk Ravens fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roman Verschüren should have stopped the shot. Herbert Rütten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Verschüren having to interfere. 75 minutes into the match, Knukwuk Ravens's goal looked a bit too open when Florian Schmithuysen came free, but Roman Verschüren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With his leg Roman Verschüren managed to avoid a goal in the 76thth minute, when Boven FC's Florian Schmithuysen fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Herbert Rütten sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Florian Schmithuysen in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roman Verschüren saved Knukwuk Ravens from getting behind. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Boven FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Marcel Terwester was slow to take the kick. During this time Knukwuk Ravens's players had a chance to rest. Marcel Terwester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
