Patrik Weihs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Steffen Jancker tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Jancker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Till-Julius Unger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Patrik Weihs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steffen Jancker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Wernhies 08's Steffen Jancker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Weihs in the 10th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Kickersi's goalkeeper David Teerbau had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robert Giese. Robert Giese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. David Teerbau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Wernhies 08's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Linz came free, but Steffen Jancker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clemens Wilmann's late challenge caught a Kickersi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Clemens Wilmann helped the player get up and apologised. After 22 played minutes Wernhies 08 got a freekick which was hit by Clemens Wilmann. Steffen Jancker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Till-Julius Unger in the 23rd minute of the match. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Wernhies 08's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Patrik Weihs was slow to take the kick. During this time Kickersi's players had a chance to rest. Michael Malliouris hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 27 minutes of play Wernhies 08's Michael Malliouris was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 28 played minutes, Kickersi's Patrik Weihs shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Steffen Jancker came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kickersi reached it. Steffen Jancker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Schulten in the 32nd minute of the match. Patrik Weihs scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Steffen Jancker, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 36 minutes into the match, Wernhies 08's goal looked a bit too open when Patrik Weihs came free, but Steffen Jancker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Steffen Jancker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Till-Julius Unger in the 37th minute of the match. After 38 minutes of play, Kickersi's Patrik Weihs made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Steffen Jancker was left in no man's land by his defense there! They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lothar Reichel to make the kick off. 63 minutes into the game, Kickersi's Christian Schulten nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Steffen Jancker made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 67th minute Torsten Linz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steffen Jancker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steffen Jancker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Madel in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Kickersi's goal looked a bit too open when Robert Giese came free, but David Teerbau reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Till-Julius Unger got free with Steffen Jancker in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. David Teerbau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lothar Reichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. If Torsten Linz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemens Wilmann hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Steffen Jancker acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 80th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Torsten Linz. Steffen Jancker showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Weihs in the 81st minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Patrik Weihs ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Steffen Jancker was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Christian Schulten during the 87th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 87 played minutes Kickersi got a freekick which was hit by Christian Schulten. In the 91st minute, Patrik Weihs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 94 minutes, Lothar Reichel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wernhies 08's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lothar Reichel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute, Torsten Linz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kickersi walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
