Poli TM 1921's Thomas Volk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Sieberichs in the 16th minute of play. Thomas Volk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omiros Kazanis in the 17th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gerhard Schrape in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Maletz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Omiros Kazanis took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Thomas Volk to make any attempt to save it. Poli TM 1921's Thomas Volk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hubert Sieberichs in the 26th minute of play. Gerhard Schrape received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Jonas Maletz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mechanical Animals's Johann Hassel got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Poli TM 1921 booed when Mechanical Animals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omiros Kazanis didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Peter Werners managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Poli TM 1921's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peter Werners was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peter Werners in the 36th minute of play forced Mechanical Animals's goalkeeper Jonas Maletz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thomas Volk came out of the goal and Hubert Sieberichs tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Poli TM 1921 booed when Mechanical Animals was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julien Ramusch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Hubert Sieberichs blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Volk having to make a save. Alexander Wipplinger's late challenge caught a Poli TM 1921's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
