The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Carlo Gerick came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Alexandros Matsinopoulos got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Draxl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gernot Kellner in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute Nereo Rik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rouven Nussli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandros Matsinopoulos in the 22nd minute of play. Rouven Nussli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nereo Rik, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Rouven Nussli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nereo Rik in the 39th minute of play. In the 45th minute, Lu Jun Yin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

International Thunders made a substitution. Loukianos Staikos replaced Percival Costa. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nichifor Borăscu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, SK Fenerbahce Wien's Lu Jun Yin got a free kick in the 52nd minute. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Loukianos Staikos, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. If Loukianos Staikos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Draxl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Loukianos Staikos in the 59th minute of the match. 59 minutes into the game, Loukianos Staikos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Chris Draxl was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chris Draxl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Loukianos Staikos in the 63rd minute of play. After 64 played minutes International Thunders got a freekick which was hit by Loukianos Staikos. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Frieters was substituted for Xie Sheng Qi. After a rather tough play, International Thunders's Loukianos Staikos got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 70th match minute, SK Fenerbahce Wien was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nereo Rik to maneuver through the defense. 77 minutes into the match, SK Fenerbahce Wien's goal looked a bit too open when Tibor Bäuschlein came free, but Chris Draxl reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chris Draxl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nichifor Borăscu, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Loukianos Staikos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. International Thunders's Rouven Nussli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eike Hörtnagel in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Gernot Kellner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Draxl was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. There was no doubt that International Thunders were the better team. International Thunders's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
